The meaning of love is one thing we will not get tired of talking about..
Why?
Well, love (and money) makes the world go round. It is the foundation of relationships, careers, and family. It is so important but we almost always get it wrong so no, I am not going to get tired of talking about love..
Therefore, here are 3 meanings of love that you should be aware of;
1. I value you
When you value someone then that means you recognize the person's worth in your life and as an individual. It means that you see the person as significant and irreplaceable. Placing value on someone is an ability to pinpoint what someone means to you.
2. I honour you
This is a consequence of placing value on someone else. When you recognize a person's worth, you will naturally appreciate the person based on that value you attach to the person. That is what honour is essentially. Therefore, loving someone means that you take definite action that shows that you respect and appreciate that person. Showing honour is not about gender. It should be mutual in all relationships.
3. I choose you
Ultimately, love is a choice -you chose to settle for a particular person out of the many you could have chosen. So, when you love somebody, it is a conscious effort to close your heart to other people and focus on building a life with a particular person, which is why the idea of falling in love with someone else while dating someone sounds fishy. It shows you opened up your heart because love requires your will.
Thus, be guided when you say to someone, "I love you". If you don't mean these three things all rolled into one, then keep shut.,
