One of the most challenging parts of being an adult, especially an adult woman is the act of pretending like you are fine and you are not as bothered as you are because you are at a stage in your life that people expect you to stop whining and complaining but, rather, take charge of your life and handle things effectively..
No one will try to comfort you for crying because things are going wrong in your life..
Sometimes, society expects you to handle it yourself as everyone else is dealing with their own problems..
Even though sometimes, we feel the need to not disturb others with our problems, we also have to consider our mental health and understand that occasionally we can’t handle everything on our own and always pretending to be fine is doing more harm than good.
Pretending to be fine does not make the problems disappear but, rather, it will make it fester like a wound if it isn’t well taken care of Every so often, it’s okay to break down for a while; it is human and nothing else and we all need to understand that and allow ourselves to heal..
