Most of us believe that love is that warm, fuzzy feeling that turns us into jelly in our belly..

While this may be an accompanying feeling, it is definitely not what love is all about..

We talk about the bliss of love and while that is true, there are certain things we don’t seem to realize about love sometimes. Folks, it is high time we demystified love and saw all its jagged sides and misshapen edges..

1. Those you love won’t always love you back

The fact that you love someone does not mean he/she will automatically love you back. In fact, you should not love because you want someone to love you. This truth may make love look crappy but it is what it is, read this to get viable insight 👉 [Difference between Love and Attraction]..

2. It endures after death

The fact that the person you love has died does not mean there is a button that you can just press so the love will switch off that you might be able to move on. It does not work that way and that is another reason love sucks..

3. It can make you look like a fool

Love forces you to go out of your way for someone else even when that person does not deserve the gesture. To others, you may look like a fool but then you are in love..

4. It makes you vulnerable

Love makes you open up yourself to hurt. Ever noticed that those who hurt you the most are those you love? That is how it works..

5. It can be painful

Love has a way of making you sacrifice and compromise, even in the most uncomfortable ways.

Next time you say you love someone, know all that it entails. However, does this mean that love is a burden? Nope, I will definitely balance this out by talking about the joy of love..

Most people just dwell on how sweet love is, but its not so, love also brings discomfort and adds responsibilities..

Here are the aspect of love that causes the butterflies in the belly.. 😊

6. It makes you feel safe

When you love someone and the person loves you back, there is a way you feel, you feel secure. You know that someone has always got your back and that that person would never knowingly hurt you..

7. It gives you the opportunity to make someone better

Love provides you entrance into someone’s life. It gives you the opportunity to wield influence over someone and if you truly love that person, you will impact only positive things. I bet you this is one of the most fulfilling things you could ever do..

8. It teaches you to stay true to yourself

Love does not seek to change you. Yes, it would require compromises but not so that you can deny yourself. With love, the end game is always that you are happy and fulfilled..

9. It gives you lifetime connections

Love creates deep bonds with people. There is absolutely no force that can match its power or ability to bring different people together; people that you will always be grateful for..

10. It makes you better

Love pushes you to be a better version of yourself because you will always want to give your best to the people you love.

In summary

Love is a two-sided coin. It may require effort but it is always worth it in the end..
